Baby Hendrix

We went to the doctor yesterday for our first ultrasound! I have to say I was nervous before we went....I've been feeling pregnant and looking pregnant but haven't had the opportunity to see the baby yet, so this was good for us! My blood work all came back great, blood pressure is great and the baby is measuring right on schedule! He/She is about 2 inches long from crown to rump :) and has a heart beat of 154. The ultrasound lady was not fun and would not guess what the sex is. She said you cannot tell at 14 weeks...I had to bite my tongue.

Enjoy the pictures!!!

It's got a big tummy like Mel did when she was a baby :)

I thought this screen detected the heartbeat, but it doesn't. If you can make heads or tails of it, good for you! We do know the picture is from the top. You can see two legs and the right arm.

Hello everyone! Can't wait to meet all of you!!

And the diaper purchases begin!

My good friend Allison told me that when she got pregnant, she and her mom immediately started buying diapers for the baby. She said this really helped when she had the baby because she wasn't running to the store all the time to get diapers. So....we've started buying diapers! Seems like we have "collected" a lot of the 1-2 sizes, some newborn, and very few 3+....looks like we'll have to start buying more than just 1-2!

Anyway, here is our diaper collection thus far!

Just testing things out...

I am trying to figure out if all the small pictures were a result of the other computers I've been using to upload pictures...hmm...

Guess so! Oh well! Here's another picture ;)

The Art of Photography

Melanie here - - so I have decided to take up a new hobby. Photography! I've always loved pictures - you can ask anyone in my family! In fact, ask my Pulver cousins...I snapped more pictures in New York this past Christmas than anyone probably wanted taken :)

I am still quite the amateur in this field, but hopefully will eventually learn it. I finally upgraded the camera (one with all those fun settings and a big lens) and got a Mac to edit some of the pictures. I know eventually I'll need to upgrade to Photoshop, but I've hit my spending limits already. I've got a good husband who supports me on my various adventures.

Below are some pictures from downtown Greenville...wish these would lure some of you to come visit :) Like I said, I still need SO much work, but I'll get there eventually!!
