Dabo Dabo Do

Quite a late post but Matt got to play with Dabo Swinney at the BMW Charity Classic this year. Dabo was so awesome and Matt thoroughly enjoyed it. Justin caddied for Matt so he got to meet Dabo as well.

Here is a picture from the tournament. This is on the 14th hole on Saturday. Due to a rain delay, Dabo had to leave in the middle of the tournament to fly down to Atlanta for a Clemson IPTAY Club gathering.

Our little bell pepper...

And why do we have a picture of peppers on our blog?! Well, this is about the size of our baby right now. As of yesterday, Baby Hendrix is 5 1/2 inches long and weighs about 7 ounces. We can distinctly remember the day the baby was a poppy seed! Time is flying by so fast!

Below is a more accurate picture of what Baby Hendrix looks like at 18 weeks! We went back to the doctor last Monday for a check up and to see how the baby is progressing. As of now, I've gained 4 pounds, right on track. Baby's heartbeat is 147-153, right in the middle of where it should be. Last Saturday I was laying on the couch reading (nothing much else to do in the dreary rainy weather) and felt a little butterfly feeling in my stomach. Felt it again, and again, then realized that it's the baby moving! He/She is an agile thing - moving all around all the time! I wish Matt could feel it moving but you can't really feel from the outside of the stomach.

We go back October 12th to find out the sex of the baby. At this ultrasound they will also be able to check all organ functions and make sure the organs are there and working correctly! Counting down the days until we find out if we'll have a golfer or a ballerina! :)

Baby Hendrix can hear now, too, so watch your words around me. When I think of a baby hearing, I think about the movie Baby Mama when they are talking about rap music. Too hard to describe but if you haven't seen the movie, watch it...it's so funny!

Needless to say, with all our friends having babies, we have been learning so much! Still SO much more to learn!

Elizabeth Elaine Carter

Our dear friend delivered her baby on Wednesday afternoon in Greenville. We are SO excited that Miss Eliza is here! Baby Hendrix did a couple of flips in my belly knowing that he/she would have a friend to play with! Eliza is healthy and mom and dad are doing great!

Salt Lake City

Matt played in Salt Lake City last week so I decided to fly out and see him. We've been to Salt Lake before but didn't take any pictures so I thought I'd take a plenty :) We had a great time and I enjoyed every minute of being out there. I flew in on Wednesday morning and we both flew home on Monday morning. Matt had a great tournament but is glad to be home this week!

These pictures are out of order because I always forget to put them in chronological order when uploading. If you know how to change them around, let me know!

Wednesday we went over to Temple Square to see the Morman buildings. They had such pretty flowers! I wanted to get in to see the Tabernacle Choir but they were recording a CD so we could not go in. Maybe another time!

Matt teed off at 8:45am on Saturday morning all by himself, so we finished in 3 hours! We went back to the hotel, rested and drove to Park City, UT to see the sights there. It was beautiful! On our way into Park City, we stopped at the Olympic Park and toured around. The 2010 Olympians were training for Vancouver so we were able to see some of their moves. So impressive - pictures don't do the sport justice!

Here are some of our pictures from the trip!

Lucy June Ham

Julie and I took a roadtrip yesterday to meet Stephanie and Matt's baby, Lucy! We had SUCH a great time and enjoyed every minute of holding her, feeding her and even changing her diaper! Ok, well, watching Stephanie change her diaper :) Lucy is absolutely precious and Stephanie and Matt are such wonderful parents!

It definitely was good preparation for me! It has been such a long time since I've held a newborn that I was asking Stephanie if I'm doing it right. I've got a lot more to learn! Thank goodness the good Lord gives us 40 weeks to prepare!

Thank you Stephanie and Matt for letting us come take over your Saturday!

More pictures to come!!

Hand Sanitizer

Matt left this morning for Leon, Mexico to play in a Nationwide tournament down there. He was home for a grand total of 21 hours (to make 26 hours that he has been home in the last 5 weeks) - just enough to take the clothes out of the suitcase, wash them and repack them again! We also got a medicine kit along with some prepackaged items for him to eat if there is nothing else to eat.

Needless to say, I will be much happier when he comes back to the states. I have taken on mom role and PREACHED the word 'hand sanitizer' to him. A little obsessive on my part, but he has 6 bottles that he can carry with him :)

I'm very proud of him for his success the last few weeks! Hopefully he'll do it again and get in to Salt Lake City and I can go visit!! Mom - you did say you would keep Hogan, right?! :)
