Braveheart...

You may think I'm talking about the movie...nope, talking about the Brave heart I have :) Matt left to go out of town two Saturdays ago so I thought it would be good for me to pick up and go to LaGrange. Ha! So I loaded up the car with Chase and Hogan and all our luggage and headed to the big LG. It was an eventful trip going down but was "smooth sailing" on the way back.

Just hanging out in LaGrange

Nana and Papa come to visit

Nana (Mel's mom) came up to spend her Spring Break (her last Spring Break ever!) in Greenville! We had a great time and loved having her here! We were still younger than 8 weeks so we stayed in the majority of the week. Papa came on Saturday and spent the night with us...we took Chase on one of his second outings - to brunch on Sunday morning!

Julie was SO sweet to come spend Friday night with us...we had such a good time laughing with her! She's ALWAYS a joy to have around. Despite catching the grill on fire, we had a wonderful time :) Thanks for coming Jules!

Hanging out

Matt and I have really enjoyed playing with Chase on the ground. It is so fun to watch him look all around and kick his feet and punch his arms. He has now started to roll over (everyone has witnessed it but me :( ) and this is the time he usually does it. Here are some pictures of our most recent hang out time.

Easter

Easter is such a special time and this Easter was especially special with Chase. However, it was quite an unusual one. We were brave and loaded up the house and headed to Aiken. We had an engagement party to go to for Jennifer Parks on Saturday night so we thought we'd go down Friday, hang out with the family and stay through Easter.

Everything was great but I came down with mastitis on Saturday. It was such a terrible feeling!! I had a low grade fever and my body ached all over. I think it was the first Easter Sunday that I didn't make it to church but I slept until 10am that morning.

Even though we didn't go to church, we celebrated and dressed Chase up in his Easter outfit. We had to do it now because he'll grow out of it in no time!

We have Visitors!!!

Aunt Anne, Uncle Chris and Kyle came in town last week to look at colleges around us. I have to say I cannot believe Kyle is about to go to college!!! Seems like just yesterday I was in Chicago living with them and he was so young! I'm sure he loves to hear me say that.

We had SUCH a good time visiting with them! Mom stayed an extra couple of days so Matt and I could go tour Clemson with Kyle. It was my duty to promote Clemson as much as I can :) I am HOPING he'll come down here to go to school - how can you NOT like Clemson?!!

My, my how the times have changed from when I lived with them...Kyle is old and I have a baby! Crazy! :)

What we've been up to!

Yet again I have waited a long time to post pictures. I have all the help I need around here with mom and Mrs. Hendrix and Matt but I still don't find the time to make it to the front room to get on the computer. Go figure!

We have had a great time the past couple of weeks! Chase is growing up SO incredibly fast! It's crazy how the time flies!

Sitting watching television with Nana

"One day they'll take these stupid things of my hands"...he still has a tendency to scratch his face when he's frustrated so we have to keep him covered so we don't get turned in to DSS :)

Yay!! We are one month old! Hogan's excited, too!
